Former EPIX and Sundance TV Marketing Chief takes Global Marketing Reins at Tech Company
New York, NY / Tel Aviv, Israel, JUNE 8, 2021 ̶ AnyClip, on the heels of its recent closing of a new $47 million (US) investment led by JVP, today announced that it has named entertainment and media marketing veteran Kirk Iwanowski as its new CMO.
Iwanowski’s first initiative has been to spearhead the global rebrand and positioning of AnyClip as The Visual Intelligence Company™ as the Organization expands its product offering and enters the global SaaS marketplace, following its dramatic revenue growth in 2020. Prompted by both the proliferation of video in a post COVID-19 market and the need for businesses to adapt to this surge, AnyClip has introduced the first completely AI-powered video management platform for business. The fully automated and centralized platform for video management, analytics, distribution, marketing and monetization is powered by the Company’s proprietary technology that extracts data from video, 10x faster than real time – turning everyday video into “smart” video. The platform is being rolled out globally to the Enterprise, Media & Entertainment, Publishing, and Retail & eCommerce verticals.
As part of the full rebrand, Iwanowski led the development and launch of the website (https://anyclip.com/); the creation of the company’s aforementioned tagline and positioning; and the development of the company’s go-to-market sales strategy.
Remarked AnyClip President and CEO Gil Becker, “Kirk is a proven brand-builder with an established track record of successfully launching and scaling video companies. He has been in the space for decades, working with some of the most notable content creators and distributors in Media & Entertainment. From launching networks to film distribution companies to OTT streaming platforms, Kirk has deep experience in collaborating with partners to launch and grow subscription-based services at scale. That ability to bring a B2B2C approach to AnyClip as we roll out our SaaS platform and technology globally, is invaluable and the impact has already been felt.”
Added Iwanowski, “In the post-COVID market, video proliferation is ubiquitous. While it’s been on a steep trajectory in the Media & Entertainment sector for years, it’s now pervasive across all Industry, regardless of vertical. These business leaders ̶and my colleagues in content marketing ̶are grappling with how to activate and elevate their video. They’re looking for an automated, data-based, go-to market strategy that can be executed with nominal lift. We’re responding with our proprietary Visual Intelligence Technology and the first AI-powered video management platform for business.”
Most recently Iwanowski served as CMO and EVP of EPIX, (owned by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, Inc., and before that by MGM, Paramount Pictures and Lionsgate). At EPIX he was widely recognized for helping the brand evolve from a singular movie channel to a full premium entertainment service while also effectively introducing the network to a mass television and streaming consumer audience on the heels of MGM’s $1B+ acquisition of the network in 2017. Prior to joining EPIX, Iwanowski served as the SVP, Marketing of Bill Pohlad’s Apparition Pictures and GK Film’s FilmDistrict. Earlier, he was EVP of Marketing at Sundance Channel for a decade, a joint venture of Robert Redford, NBC Universal and CBS. As a key member of the company’s Executive Management Team, Iwanowski helped lead the sale of the network to Cablevision/AMC Networks in 2008 for $500 million.
